A Tamworth builder who does the job properly
James Walmsley Building Services is a local building company based in East Tamworth. We build new homes, renovate existing ones, and take on commercial and specialist work across the North West.
James's story
James has been in construction for more than 15 years. He trained as a carpenter through TAFE NSW, then went on to win the Northwest WorldSkills Carpentry title in 2015 and finish 14th in the national finals in 2016.
In 2018 he started out on his own as a sole trader. Word got around, the jobs got bigger, and the business now runs two carpentry crews. James still quotes the work, still answers the phone and is still on site.
How we work
You deal with the builder
No middlemen and no being passed around. James is your point of contact from the first chat to handover.
Honest advice up front
If something won't work on your block or within your budget, we'll tell you early - along with what will.
We keep you in the loop
You'll know what's happening each week and hear about any changes before they happen, not after.
Built to last
We'd rather do it right once. Good preparation, proper materials and careful finishing are what make a build last.
